It uses an award-winning patented technique to convert chicken feather waste from the poultry meat industry into a very light and breezy fabric without the use of any harmful chemicals. The waste would have otherwise got dumped into rivers and landfills creating harmful pollutants and health issues. Once the fiber is created through the multi-step process, women artisans weave their magic into this exquisite piece with traditional hand-weaving techniques.
